They both have great service and food, but different vibes. Excellence is resort-y and has activities and people everywhere. Beloved is about being spoiled. It's an amazing resort. Great for couples and we felt spoiled by the staff. All the food was very good and most meals were even better. I think I've narrowed down my trip with my wife to either Excellence Riviera or Playa Mujeres. Neither of us have been to an all inclusive.
